I've got a 40 minute commute to work and I'm constantly TRYING to change up my music from Taylor Swift.  This week I've been listening to my College Music Throwback playlist which consists of music from 2002-2010ish.  Think: Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, The Good Life/Cursive, and so much more. 

Loving

My NEW Erin Condren planner packet!  It was just under $10 for shipping to Australia, so PLUS PLUS PLUS! It is SO amazing and I can't wait to really get into using it regularly.  I had been using my Google calendar for months, then POOF it all randomly deleted.  Not to mention individual appointments deleting here and there.  Sometimes it is just best to stick to a hard copy. 

Thinking

I start my full time position after the school holidays and I'm thinking about all the things I want to prepare and organize in my classroom.  

Wanting

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS is nearly here!  I'm ready for this 2 week break!  I'm looking forward to some down time for me, myself and I!

Needing

Got to gather materials for the new class.  I'm off in a semi-regional area and I'm off to the city for the first part of the break.  I will definitely be picking up some materials for the classroom.  I'm thinking this girl will need to buy her own personal laminator.  Aussie teachers, got any recommendations?

All Star

One thing that REALLY worked well and stuck with me in my previous 6 years in the classroom is staying organized!  I make sure the students AND MYSELF put things (and papers) away in their designated area!  Once I kept doing this and putting things away everyday I realized how much of a difference it made in my day.  I never felt scrambled and knew where everything was when someone would pop in and ask for some paperwork.

Been in bed for a few days, and I've just been re-watching The Hills and reliving all the drama!

Loving ... My Class Website Updates

Fixed up my "class website" even though I don't have a class at the moment.  Just did some fine tweaking so that it can be ready to go for when I do get a class! (http://StephanieBillings.blogspot.com.au)

Thinking ... Job Offers

Seems like things are finally picking up for me and teaching in Australia.  I got an interview lined up, then a job offer, and another one once a school found out I got offered a job.  I hope I picked the right one for me. 

Wanting ... School Holiday to Start

Although I've only been doing relief work, I've been working every school day for the past month and a half.  I'm like the kiddos, I'm ready for school holidays so I can organize some things.

Needing ... Sickness to be Dunzo

I've been sick for nearly 2 weeks and I thought I was getting better, but I ran out of meds yesterday and I wasn't feeling well this morning.  I hate that even though I don't really get sick often (1-2 a year), but when I do I seem to truly crash.

Summer Lovin ... It's Winter?!

Well, no summer here in Australia, it's just the start of WINTER! I'm in desperate need of some pants to add to m collection of clothes.

Hello April!  If you're an Aussie teacher, Happy Break time! I've got the next two weeks off and I'll be working on finalizing my visa application, blog posts, and making TPT products!  Check out this "Currently" from Oh Boy 4th Grade!

Listening

This girl just loves her girl movies playing in all day while I work on the computer.  Mainly because my boy works during the day and I don't have to make him sit through it.  Plus, it's, like, totally quotable!

Loving

Well.. despite the fact I added "in" when I didn't need it, my work has me all over the place being part time/casual teacher.  It's definitely very helpful to have everything organized for me.  Plus, I've got tons of paperwork that's luckily quite organized and easy to get to.

Thinking

I'm on break and I'm happy to start working on & completing some TPT products for my store.  This has been the best way for me to use my creative juices.

Wanting

Since starting to create my TPT products, I've been watching to incorporate my own artwork more and more.  I wish I had a tablet to convert my sketches and doodles into digital art.  

Needing

My 2 week break from school allows me to finish and submit my visa application!  Apparently it'll take months and months to get finalized.  Oyyy... that waiting game.

EGGs-plain your name

Fishing for Education!  My classroom theme is always and underwater theme where we have the phrase "Fishing for Knowledge!"  We always worked on learning and experiencing more and more.  Well, I love it so much I've incorporated it into my blog, but to Education!  I'm always looks for new tips, tricks, and ideas and love sharing what I have to offer!
